Sage

>> 29.1.10

A few nights ago I cooked what I believe to be my first meal using sage.
It is sort of a mystery herb to me - so distinct in its smell and flavour, and yet not overly potent and doesn't steal the flavour show.

This is definitely going on my list of herbs to plant as soon as the garden dethaws and to explore more in my cooking.

Lovelies, Do you know any sage recipes?

PS. Happy Friday!

Add some leaves to the layers when making a potato gratin...espcially on the top layer so tey get kinda crunchy to eat.

Its supposed to make a great tea for sore throats! I tried it once, and I think it worked.

I've had delicious risotto with butternut squash, lots of sage, fresh parmesan,(and prosciutto). Mmmmm!

Yum! Thank you for all of the ideas - I hope one day I can make them for all of you!
