Teddy Bear Affair - DIY Accessories

>> 16.11.09

This weekend Mr. S and I were so fortunate to be guests at the Teddy Bear Affair, a Black Tie Gala to raise money for the Children's Aid Foundation.

Getting dressed for the event was actually quite easy and fun. I was excited to wear the dress I had purchased for the Junos but never wore, but felt like it needed a little punch of color and pizazz. Drawing from the many blog posts and inspirations on how to make flowers, I made a corsage and matching hair pins, which were accented and "bling-d" by a few Swarovski crystal sewn into the centers.

It was an absolutely dreamy night that raised over 1 million that will fund programs that support abused and neglected children and youth across the country.

And to top it off, Mr. S wore a tux and was the most handsome date ever...
